Marion Matthews, formerly of Durham and Mount Forest, passed away at Lee Manor, Owen Sound on Thursday, April 29th, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Matthews. Dear sister of Leonard Seifried, Kathleen Forbes, Shirley and husband Garry Baker, and Betty Anne and husband Don Riddell. Dear sister-in-law of Linda Smith, Doreen Matthews, and Gordon Marshall. Fondly remembered by the Matthews family and her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Hilda Smith, her brothers Les Seifried, Laverne Seifried and Jim Smith, her sisters-in-law Inez Seifried, Sandra Seifried, and her brother-in-law Vern Forbes. Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Monday, May 3rd from 11 – 12:30 p.m. Due to Covid-19 protocols masks are required, social distancing must be respected on Funeral Home property and a limited number of people will be allowed inside the Funeral Home for visitation. If you wish to attend visitation, please call the Funeral Home or visit the death notice on the Funeral Home website and click “make a reservation” to confirm your attendance. A private funeral service celebrating Marion’s life will be held. Friends and extended family are welcome to view the service via livestream on Monday, May 3rd at 1 p.m. by visiting the home page of McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home website or the McCulloch-Watson Facebook page. The live stream will begin at service time and the video will remain posted for viewing afterwards. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery.
