Joseph “Joe” Spitzig, of Walkerton passed away at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on Monday, April 5. He was 84. Beloved spouse of Mary Zister. Loving father of Christine and Kelly Dougherty, Kathy and Gary Nickel, Donna and Bruce Beamish, Rosemary and Glenn Voisin and David and Erika Zister. Cherished grandfather of 4 and great-grandfather of 5. Dear brother of Cyril and Bea, Dorothy and Walter Zettler, Norbert and Carol and Earl and brother-in-law of Elaine Spitzig, Marilyn Spitzig and Florence Spitzig all of Walkerton. Joe was predeceased by his brothers Maurice, Andrew and Ray, sister-in-law Christine Spitzig, brother-in-law Harvey Kliest and parents Albin and Clara Spitzig. Private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
