Grubb, Mary Ann (Age 85, Hanover)

Mary Ann Grubb, of Hanover, peacefully with her family by her side at Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, March 13. She was 85. Born to the late Leo and Rita Montag.  Survived by children Dorothy and Dan O’Connell, Pauline and Ralph Diemert, Philip Grubb and Mary Daniel, Norbert Grubb and Phyllis Neuman, Jerome and Ann Grubb, Mary Ann Haelzle, Murray and Sheila Grubb, Richard and Carol Grubb and Charlene and Terry Trushinski. Much loved grandma of 29 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her siblings Rita Boudreau, Alice Palenszy, Clara Geddes, Bernadette Schlorff, John Montag, Alphonse Montag, Leo Montag, Clare Montag, Jerome Montag and Clarence Montag. Mary Ann will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families and especially her special friend George Tabone, with whom she shared a special friendship and companionship together. Predeceased by her husband Philip Grubb, infant son Kenneth, son in law Francis “Chip” Haelzle, granddaughter Colleen Lantz and her brother Gerald Montag. Friends and family are invited to a public Visitation at Mighton Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 16, from 1-5 pm. As per the current COVID restrictions, masks are mandatory while on premises. A Private Family Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 17, at Holy Family Church, Hanover. For those wishing to view the Mass, it will be live streamed via the church’s website at holyfamily.ca at 10:30 am. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Hanover.
