George McWhirter, on 14 February at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener at the age of 88. George is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Bernice, his sons George and David, his grandson Jim. George will also be missed by his sister Evelyn and George Kerr, his brother-in-law Norman George, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom he was very proud of. George was predeceased by his siblings Ellen and Bill Hoffman, Edna and Duke Laidlaw, Bill McWhirter, Elsie and Ralph Olson, Jack and Kay McWhirter, Isabel George, Pat and Charlie Shaw, Andrew McWhirter, Mabel and Archie Willis, Elvin McWhirter and Robert McWhirter.
