Alfred ‘Alf’ Lang, of Hanover, at the Hanover and District Hospital on Sunday, February 21. He was 85. Survived by devoted wife Shirley Lang. Loved father of Brenda Ann and Dennis Fischer, Gary and Donna Lang, Wayne and Joni Lang, and Janet and Doug Wright. Special grandpa of 11. Dearly loved great grandpa of 14. Alf will be fondly remembered by his sister Elsie and Calvin Frook, sister-in-law Velma and Don Knapp, brothers-in-law Robert Leifso, Morris and Theresa Leifso, and Morley and Joyce Leifso. Alf will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by parents Leonard and Laura Lang, parents-in-law Gordon and Adeline Leifso and brother-in-law Lorne Wilken. A private family visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home. A Private Funeral Service to celebrate Alf’s life will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elmwood and will be live streamed for everyone to join on Thursday, February 25, at 11 am through the Mighton Funeral Home Facebook page. For people unable to join at the time of the service, the live stream video will remain posted and available for viewing afterwards, and will also be posted on the Funeral Home obituary page afterwards.
