Engelbert ‘Bert’ Hones, formerly of R.R.1, Gorrie, at Caressant Care, Listowel on Tuesday, February 2, at the age of 86. He will be greatly missed by his wife Hilda Hones, his daughter Angie Smith and husband Norman, and his son Heinz Hones and wife Laurie. Devoted Opa to Jesse Hones, Sonya Hones, Maria Smith, and Alex Smith. They will miss him greatly. Brother of Traudel and Hans Keller, and Elsie Loher, all of Germany, and loving uncle to Michael and Betty, George and Evelyn, Christine and Paul, Steven and Bea, and Peter and Cheryl. Predeceased by his parents Valentine and Gisela Hones, son Helmut Hones, brothers Bernhard and Eugene, sisters Elizabeth and Sarafina, and by his nephew Garry Hones. Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Saturday, February 6th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitors must schedule a time to attend on the funeral home website, or by calling. Everyone attending must wear a mask. A private family funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 7th at 1:00 p.m. Please do not attend.
