Archie Purdon of Goderich and formerly of Wingham, peacefully at Huron Hospice in Clinton on Saturday, January 9th, in his 93rd year. Devoted husband and best friend of Mildred Purdon. Loving father of Kathy & John Scheeringa, Lorie & Kevin Falconer and Kendra Purdon & Bruce Cluney. Cherished grandpa of Megan, Devan & Nicole, Jacklin & Ken, Orie, Corine & Brendan, and Lauren, Rachel and Kaitlin. Great-grandpa of Madison and Miles. Brother-in-law of Maxine Jacklin and Nora Kaufman. Archie will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Robert & Hazel Purdon, sisters Doreen Rintoul and Gordon, Muriel Moffatt and Lloyd and Marjorie Roth and Tom, nephews Dick Curran, Gary Rintoul and Leroy Rintoul and parents-in-law Webster & Eva Jacklin. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home on Friday, January 15th.
