Klages, Douglas (Age 87, Hanover)

Douglas “Doug” Klages, formerly of Hanover, passed away at Rockwood Terrace in Durham on Sunday, January 24. He was 87. Survived by wife Laura Klages. Loved father of Steven and Joan Klages, Robyn Klages, John Klages, Donna Just and Dodd Purdy and Christopher and Tammy Klages. Special papa to Marshall, Pearce, Charlotte, Anne and Andrew. Doug will be fondly remembered by his siblings Helen Matthews, Elaine and Orval Kaufman, Shirley and Doug Church, Ardelle and David Quigley, Brian and Sharon Klages, Carol and Albert Wiebe, Marilyn and Jim Bainard and Joan Kaufman and Bob. He will be remembered by his sisters in law Evelyn and Trudy Klages. Lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Glenn, Murray, Carman and brothers in law Grant Matthews and Alvin Kaufman. A Virtual Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 28, at 11:00 am and can be viewed through the Mighton Funeral Home Facebook. The live stream will start approximately 5-10 minutes prior to the service. For people unable to join at the time of the service, the live stream video will remain posted and available for viewing afterwards, and will also be posted on the Funeral Home obituary page afterwards. Interment to follow in Hanover Cemetery.
