Oberle, Glenna (Age 82, Hanover)

Glenna Oberle (nee Kunsenhauser), of RR#3 Hanover, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Hanover and District Hospital on Friday, November 27, 2020. She was 82. 

 

Born in Hanover on August 14, 1938 to the late Melvin and Edna (nee Minke) Kunsenhauser. Glenna was employed with the Hanover & District Hospital as a Switchboard Operator and later in the Payroll Department. Glenna was a devoted and faithful member of Holy Family Church and actively involved with the CWL. She truly enjoyed helping others and gave her time generously with the Breakfast Club and Meals on Wheels. Many memories will be shared over the many card parties held with friends and family. 

 

Survived by devoted husband Bernard of RR#3 Hanover. Loved mother of Tim (Sue) Oberle of Hamilton and Chris (Brenda) Oberle of RR#1 Hanover. Special grandmother of Catherine (Nik), Jacob (Shannon), Chad and Neale, and great grandmother of Vivian, Adrian, Logan, Levi, Mirza, and Ava. Glenna will be remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families as well as her church family at Holy Family Church in Hanover. Predeceased by her brother Carmen (Mary) Kunsenhauser and sister Gloria (Orland) Magwood.

 

A Private Family Visitation and Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Holy Family Church, Hanover. Friends and extended family are able to view the Mass live streamed at https://holyfamily.ca at 10 am. Father Emmanuel Azike officiating. Private Family Interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Carlsruhe. All COVID 19 provincial regulations and social distancing measures will be adhered to. 

 

Memorial donations to the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) or the Salvation Army would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
