Rollins, Evelyn (Age 87, Listowel)Evelyn Betty (Sheldon) Rollins of Listowel, passed away at Caressant Care on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, in her 88th year.

She was born in Fitch Bay, Quebec on April 6, 1933 to parents Roy & Eva (Wade) Sheldon.  She married Murray Rollins on July 12, 1954.  They resided in Fitch Bay and area before moving to Ontario in June, 1965.

Wife of the late Murray Rollins.  Mother of Brenda & Joe Cross, Betty Rollins, Cola Barker, and Carol Rollins & Doug Crapper, all of Listowel, and Nelson & Christine Rollins of Fordwich.  Grandmother of Trevor Gowing, Amy & Mike de Boer, and Troy Rollins, and a treasured great-grandmother.

Sister of Ernestine Foster of Acton, Adella Lindsay of Rosseau, Helene Bryan of Ayer’s Cliff, QC, Alta Sheldon of Beebe, QC, Jack & Jan Sheldon of Woodstock, Oland & Doreen Sheldon of St. Thomas, and June Cornell of Woodstock.  Remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Predeceased by her parents, her husband, brothers Donald Sheldon, sisters Evadna Parker, Harriet Lyonnais, and Veda Sheldon, brothers-in-law Jim Cornell, Jim Lindsay, Herbert Dustin, Colin Foster, and Gary Bryan, and by her grandson Jesse Rollins.

Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, August 10th from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.  The service will be recorded and the link will be available on the funeral home website shortly after the funeral.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitors must schedule a time by selecting RSVP under the “Service Details” on Evelyn’s page on the funeral home website, or by calling the funeral home at 519-291-4840. Everyone attending must wear a mask.

A private family funeral service will follow, with Rev. Ralph Dwarika officiating.

Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
