Wally Pollock of Ripley passed away on August 13, 2020 at the Kincardine Hospital. He was 90 years old. Beloved husband of Elaine (nee Sutherland) for 67 years. Wally was born in Kincardine, Ontario to his late parents Sophia (Haug) and Ernest Pollock. He was the loving father of Sherry (Annemie), Sandy (Marg), Mike (Shelly), and Joanne (Kevin). Proud grandpa of 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Survived by his sister Lucille Fischer. Predeceased by brothers and sisters in law Melville (Beattie), Clarence (Lois), Lorne, Dawson (Joyce) and brother in law Lorne Fischer. Wally was a long time Huron Township Farmer who was very active in the community. He was a member of the Ripley Lions club for decades, a faithful member of St. Andrew’s United Church, and a strong supporter of Ripley Wolves Hockey and many minor hockey teams. He loved to travel and to curl.
Most of all he cherished his family. He was a great guy who will be sadly missed. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of R-Villa, Dr. Murray and the hospital palliative care team for their compassionate care. A private graveside service will be conducted at the Ripley Cemetery. Rev. Marsha Roberts officiating.
