Donald LarderIt is with great sadness we share that Donald Larder passed away at Maitland Manor in Goderich, Ontario on Monday, July 6th, 2020 with his wife and children present after a long and courageous battle of cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanore (nee Williams) Larder and his daughters Jackie Masse (Aaron), Angie Hewitt (Steve) and son Shawn Larder (Jane).

The pride and joy of Don’s life were his grandchildren and great granddaughter who also adored him.  He is survived by: Alex Masse (Laura), Stefani de Boer (Nathan), Kailee, Josh and Ethan Hewitt (Hannah), Ben (Aryn), Jared and Denise Larder (Sheldon), Kyle and Lauren.  Proud great grandpa of Savannah de Boer and baby de Boer who is due in October.

Special uncle to Brenda Sinclair (Kirby), Steve Lowden (Marvin) Jeff (Nikki) and Nick.  Brother-in-law to Rodger and Kathy Williams, Janet and Wayne Rhody, Gary and Fran Williams, Sue and Pete Illemann and Joanne and Bob Wain. Don will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews on the Williams side of the family.

Predeceased by his mother Sara, father Charlie, sister Evelyn, his father and mother-in-law Earl and Margaret Williams, brother-in-law Ted Williams and sister-in-law Andrea Williams.

Don was an active member of the Goderich Minor Hockey and Jr. C Hockey Clubs for many years.  He was also a proud member of the Maitland and Carlow Masonic Lodge and the Bluewater Shrine Club.

A private family service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 and a celebration of Don’s life will be arranged, once Covid restrictions are lifted.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Bluewater Shrine Club or the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, Goderich.  Friends may sign the book of condolences at www.mccallumpalla.ca
