It is with great sadness we grieve the passing of our loving father Don Cass on July 15, 2020 at the age of 87. Reunited with our mother Joyce Cass (2001). Cherished and loved by his 4 sons: John (Christina), Brian (Karen), Scott (Nancy), and Jim (Deb). Loving grandfather to Daniel, Steven, Jacob, and Ryan. Also survived and greatly missed by his sister Liz Hewitt of Windsor and several nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Walkerville, where he met and married Joyce Eastman. For 35 years, he worked as a Sales Executive at Hiram Walkers in Windsor before relocating to Toronto.
Don and Joyce happily retired in 1998 to the farmhouse and family cottage at Bruce Beach.
Don will be remembered for his active community service, including Huron-Kinloss council, director of Pine River Watershed Initiative, director for Bruce County Children’s Aid Society, and trustee on the Bruce County Board of Education. He was also a dedicated member of the Point Clark Lions Club. Everyone who met Don knew he was so full of life and he would talk to anyone about anything.
A Private family visitation and funeral will be held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley. Rev. Eric Williams officiating. Interment at Lurgan Cemetery.
