Russell Ische, 91 of RR5, Stratford passed away at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Saturday, June 20, 2020. Beloved husband of Audrey (Annis) Ische for 55 years. Dear father of Brad Ische and Brenda Huitema. Loving grandfather of Stephanie (Tony), Rodney (Courtney) and Kelsey (Marcus). Dear brother of Don Ische (Marlene), Wayne Ische (Sharon), Joyce Cook (Murray) and Janet Manser.  Dear brother-in-law of Marjorie Ische, Bruce Winteringham, Ken Annis (Phyllis), Joan Brodhagen (George) and Calvin Annis (Jane). Also surviving are his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his son-in-law Mike Huitema, parents Harvey and Pearl (Rapien) Ische, brother Orval Ische, sister Helen Winteringham, father-in-law and mother-in-law Wilfrid and Isabel Annis.
Russell farmed in Ellice and Fullarton Townships. He had an avid interest in family genealogy, the Ellice Book Committee, Fullarton Evangelical Cemetery Board, travelling and restoring his old car. Russell always enjoyed spending time with his family.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 2-6 p.m. A private family service will be held. Interment in Fullarton Evangelical Cemetery. Memorial donations to Fullarton Evangelical Cemetery, Mitchell Nursing Home or Main St. United Church would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.

Due to Provincial Covid-19 restrictions, those wishing to attend the visitation must schedule a time online by selecting RSVP under “Service Details” on Russell’s memorial page at LockhartFuneralHome.com or by phone at 519-348-8643 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. No one will be permitted at the visitation without a scheduled time. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask. Please arrive five minutes before your intended time slot and wait in your car to be directed into the funeral home. Congregating and visiting outside your car in the funeral home parking lot is not permitted.
