Helm, Grant (Age 72, Lucknow)

Grant Helm, of Lucknow, beloved husband of Phyllis, passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday June 7, 2020 at the age of 72. He was born in Wingham, Ontario on September 27, 1947 to the late Robert & Myrtle Helm. Greatly missed by his children Mitchell Helm and Adrian Rau. Also survived by sister Roberta Whytock, brothers Tom (Joan) Helm and Art (Barb) Helm all of Lucknow, and sisters-in-law Carol (Rick) Chandler of Kelowna B.C., Debbie Matthews and Charlynn (Gary) Ursu both of Calgary Alberta. Much loved by many nieces and nephews. Grant was a special person to the many foster children he and Phyllis raised; Jenna, Logean, Kaitlin, Sarah, Brittany, Nikki, Ruth, Alecia and Jessica. Predeceased by infant brother James, and brothers-in-laws Lloyd Whytock and Rick Matthews. A private graveside service will be held at Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow with a public celebration of Grant’s life at a later date. Donations to the Lucknow Legion Br. 309 are greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow.
