At Gilbert Hall on Saturday, March 28, 2020, Clara Ortlieb of Wingham, passed away at the age of 95.
Beloved wife of the late Bernard Ortlieb (1985). Cherished mother of Larry & Kathleen Ortlieb of St. Jacob’s, Linda & Dennis Wharton of London, Annette & Ken Marks of Belgrave, Betty & Jeff Thornton of LaSalle, Betty Ortlieb of Bluevale, Debbie & Jim Wickens and Brenda Inglis & DeWayne Golley all of Wingham, Helen & Tom Burke of Elora, Rob Ortlieb of Wingham and Cathy & Rob Steffler of Linwood. Clara will be lovingly remembered by twenty-six grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, one sister, one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law. Predeceased by her daughter Evelyn Tanner (2012), son Bruce Ortlieb (2019), three brothers and two sisters.
In light of current events there will be no public visitation or funeral mass at this time. Private arrangements have been entrusted to McBurney Funeral Home, with interment at Wingham Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations to Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
