McCallum, Russel (Age 96, Mitchell)

Russel Alvin McCallum, 96, of Mitchell passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones at Stratford General Hospital.  He was predeceased by the love of his life Lorna, son Jerry, parents Dorthea and Noble and was the last of eight siblings. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his son Ross and Becky McCallum, and daughters Lynn and Bob Burtenshaw, Faye and Fred Wynistorf, and Bev and Doug Nicholson. Cherished by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by his three sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Russel lived a full and happy life. He was forever a farmer, businessman and tinkerer of all trades.

A celebration of Russel’s life will be held at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Monday December 30, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. A reception and time to meet with family will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre.
