Fern Bernice McCLURE (née Dexter), formerly of Seaforth, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. In her 92 years among us, Fern was a source of love, kindness and faith within the circle of her family and friends. Fern and Nelson approached the ups and downs of life as a team throughout 54 years of happy married life. We find comfort in trusting they are together again. Fern will be lovingly remembered by her children Clayton and Joanne McClure and Bryan and Sharlene McClure. Cherishing memories of a very special grandma are Cindy and Steve Hyland, Shane McClure, Marcie and Brad Robinson, Amy McClure, Steven McClure and Jessi Burk, along with great-grandchildren Carson Hyland and Jack Robinson. Fond memories of Fern remain with her many nieces and nephews. Fern was the remaining family member of her generation in the Dexter and McClure family circles. In faith, we trust that Fern’s spirit is now reunited with her husband Nelson (2006) and siblings and siblings-in-law Elmer Dexter, Ethel and Stanley Ball, Viola and John Sanderson, Norma and Wilmer Glousher, Harvey and Bessie McClure, Sam and Mary McClure, James McClure, Margaret and Tom Carter, Bert and Dorothy McClure, Dorothy and Robert Dalton, Walter and Muriel McClure and Mavis and Percy Dalton.
Visitation will take place at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth, on Friday, June 7, 2019, from 2 until 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 11 AM. Interment will take place in Maitlandbank Cemetery, followed by a reception in the fellowship hall of Egmondville United Church, 26 Kippen Road, Egmondville.
