Mary Alice DIEBEL, formerly of Hanover, on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. She was 83. Born on July 28, 1935, in Brant Township to the late Henry and Mary (nee Weichman) Wedow. Mary was employed with Sandlos Grocers as well as a mail carrier for Canada Post. Mary was a faithful member of the ELW at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover. She will also be missed by her pets, who kept her company and whom she adored. Survived by daughter Anita Diebel and Ed Mitukiewicz of Elora. Proud grandmother of Katy and Sam. Remembered by her sisters-in-law Laverne Wedow of Hanover and Elva Trussler of Walkerton and their families. Predeceased by her beloved husband Harold, a son in infancy, brothers Clarence and Laverne, Irvine, Melvin and Merelda, Allan and Wilma, Walter and a brother in infancy.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, TODAY, from 6 until 8 PM, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019, at 11 AM. Pastor John Polacok officiated. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Parkinson Foundation were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
