Mrs. Gladys Mae (Rowland) Hymers, formerly of Listowel, at Royal Terrace, Palmerston on Thursday, April 18, 2019 in her 101st year. Wife of the late Gordon “Pete” Hymers. Mother of Gord & Diane Hymers of Listowel, and Carolyn & Doug Adams of Waterloo. Grandmother of Todd Newbigging, Marty Newbigging, Shelley & Bryan Albrecht, Chet & Jenn Hymers, Jodi & Mike Town, Shelley & Len Wagner, Julie Adams, and Terry Adams. Great-grandmother of Cody & Katherine and their daughter Hayden, Mason, Madison, Colby, Sam, Lauryn, Claire, Carter, Daulton, Brittany, Brieana, Brandon, and Austin, and also survived by her great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Mary Davidson, and sister-in-law of Phyllis Hymers, both of Brussels. Predeceased by her son Kenny, son-in-law Paul Newbigging, brother Bill Rowland and his wife Hilda, and her brother-in-law Geordie Davidson.
A private funeral service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Thursday, April 25, 2019 with interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel. Memorial donations to Trinity United Church, Listowel (elevator fund) would be appreciated.
