James “Jim” David Pinkerton, of Pinkerton, on Monday, in his 86th year. Jim will be missed by his sister Margaret and Curtis Johnson of Palgrave, and brothers; Robert and Ruby Pinkerton of Pinkerton and William and Jacqueline Pinkerton of Inverhuron. A cherished uncle of Margaret, Paul, Laurie, Eric, Cheryl, John, Craig, Kyle, Colin, Heather, Christy Ann, Alex, Kelly, Blaine, April, Edward, Curtis, Kim, Mark, Marie Claude, and Laura. Jim is predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Christena and brothers John and Charles.
Jim was born, raised and lived his entire life on the Pinkerton Homestead with his herds of Registered Shorthorns and Registered Herefords. He was a member of the Knox Presbyterian Church in Pinkerton, the Morovian Masonic Lodge in Cargill, the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, member and leader of the Cargill 4H Beef Club, and a past board member of the Douglas Hill Cemetery.
Friends and relatives are invited for visitation from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, at Cameron Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating Jim’s life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, at Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton. Reverend Megan Penfold officiating. Spring interment at Douglas Hill Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce and Residential Hospice of Grey-Bruce would be appreciated by the family.
