Danny Hugh MacDONALD of Ripley, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Una (nee Roberts) MacDonald for 43 years. Loving father of Matthew (Michelle) and Nicholas (Claire). Cherished Papa to his grandson’s Nolan and Garrett. Brother of Clarke (Pat), Bob (Susan), Perry and brother-in-law to Jane Ann. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Marie MacDonald and brother Paul MacDonald. Missed by many friends and family.
Dan lived life to its fullest and spent his time curling, golfing, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He also served his community as a volunteer firefighter for the Ripley fire department for over 25 years and was a member of the Ripley & District Lions Club. He loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially quality time with his grandsons.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 1 – 5 p.m. at the Ripley Community Centre. Donations can be made directly to LHSC-Victoria-Palliative Care, Ripley & District Lions Club or Ripley United Church. Arrangements entrusted to the Woodland Cemetery and Crematorium, London.
