James Ivan HAMILTON of Listowel, at his home on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Galbraith) Hamilton. Dear father of Ronald & Brenda Hamilton of Atwood, Carol Kempston of Listowel, Joanne & Brian Buchanan of Listowel. Loving grandfather of Laura Hamilton of Kitchener, Sheena & Lee Battams of Elmira, Kayla Hamilton & her friend Fred of Toronto, BJ Hamilton & Laura Kellum of Brussels, Rhea Kempston & Ryan Goetz of London, Carling & Allen Molenhuis of Listowel, and Brett & Kiri Buchanan of Toronto, and great-grandfather of Audrey, Jocelyn, Finn, Pax and Cora. Brother of Isabelle Chamney of Palmerston, and Jean Pettitt, Allen Hamilton & Grace Bender, Harold & Karen Hamilton, Marion & Keith Bristowe, and Larry and Eilleen Hamilton, all of Listowel, and brother-in-law of Doreen Hamilton of Walkerton, Marsha Hamilton of Listowel, Diane & Earl McCreight of Aberfoyle, and Robert & Elaine Galbraith of Atwood. Predeceased by his parents Walter & Stella (Cosens) Hamilton, sister Marjorie Bradley, and brothers Orland and Howard. Special thanks to Grace & Ross Harper for their special care of our family.
Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Saturday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Ivan’s Life at Parkview Gardens, Listowel from 2-4 p.m. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood. Memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
