Johanna Gerdina GRIERSON (nee Koeslag), of Route 1, Hanover, on Monday, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Fred Grierson for 63 years. Loving mother of George and wife Sue Grierson of St. Marys, and Lorne Grierson and wife Rebecca of Hanover. Cherished grandmother of Erin and husband Devon Leis, Leah and husband Jeremy Gee, Amanda and husband Ian Brouwer, Katie Grierson-DesRoches and husband Sam DesRoches, Alex Grierson, and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Rickie Grierson, Marie and husband Klaas Inthof, and Mineke and husband Bill Spencer. Sister-in-law of Augusta Koeslag, Jean Koeslag, Shirley Koeslag, and Joann Koeslag. Predeceased by sisters Johanna Lamberts and Geritje Harkink, and brothers Hendrik Jan Koeslag, John Koeslag, Albert Koeslag, Bill Koeslag, Henk Koeslag, Jerry Koeslag, and Herman Koeslag.
Visitation at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 2 until 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service celebrating Gerda’s life will be held at Durham Presbyterian Church on Thursday, at 11 AM, with visitation prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 AM. Cremation to follow with a spring interment of cremated remains at Durham Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations to the Durham Presbyterian Church or Residential Hospice Grey Bruce. Arrangements entrusted to McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
