Herman STRYKER of Clinton on Friday in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Janet (Duimering) Stryker. Lovng father of John, Joanne, Richard, Roger (Jeanette Sears), and Ingrid Stryker. Dearly loved grandpa of Lewis (Ava), Jason (Shawna), Oliver, Marije, Anneke, Karsten, Josh (Cheryl), Jordan, and J’amie. Great grandpa of 12 great gandchildren. Dear brother of Henry Stryker, and brother in law of George Sjaarda, Corrie Stryker, Simon & Rita Frankruiter, Bill & Louise Duimering, Martin & Grace Duimering, Harry & Luang Duimering. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues, students, neighbours, and the countless people with whom he loved to connect. Predeceased by his granddaughter Amy St. Amand, sisters Minnie Sjaarda, and Grace Bakker, brother Kurt Stryker, sister in law Cora Stryker, and brothers in law John Bakker, and John Duimering. At Herman’s request cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Vanastra Community Christian Reformed Church, 50 5th Ave., Vanastra, on Monday February 18, 2019 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Followed by the service at 12 noon.
