Taylor Sheridan Is Being Sued For Stealing The Idea For “Yellowstone”
Taylor Sheridan, Paramount, and NBC Universal are all being sued by a writer who claims Sheridan stole her idea for a TV show and used it to create “Yellowstone”.
The writer says she submitted a pilot script, show bible, and pitch deck for a show called “Sovereign Nation” to Sheridan’s reps in late 2016 and early 2017. She says “Yellowstone” used her plot details and casting recommendations.
She’s seeking damages and profits tied to the alleged copyright infringement and wants to stop future and continued infringement.
“Yellowstone” premiered June 20th of 2018.
