Willie Nelson Urges Communities To Fight Back Against Data Centers
Willie Nelson has published an open letter calling on communities to resist data centers, posting it to social media on July 28th. data
“Our community, like many others, needs to fight against data centers invading our land. The last thing we need is a loud, water-thieving, light-polluting data center anywhere near our town.”
The Farm Aid founder argued that rural America’s strength comes from “generations of people, open spaces, local businesses, and a connection to the land.”
He warned, “Whoever controls food and water, controls the masses.”
Texas Governor Gregg Abbott has also recently called for blocking data centers in rural areas of the state.
