Dolly Parton Makes Surprise Appearance At New Tennessee Travel Stop
Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months at the grand opening of her new Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tennessee.
The surprise appearance came as fans gathered in the parking lot on a scorching summer day, unaware she would actually attend.
Parton greeted the crowd saying, “Hey, Hey, Hey! How are you? How is everybody doing today out in that hot boiling sun?”
She also took a playful jab at competitor Buc-ee’s, joking, “Well, I couldn’t leave it to beavers.”
Her last public appearance was in March for Dollywood’s season opening.
The massive travel stop features exclusive merchandise, a BBQ grab-and-go restaurant, Dolly’s Cup of Ambition coffee shop, a live music stage, karaoke bar, and a pet area called Doggy Parton.
