Carrie Underwood Says Tough Love Works Best On “American Idol”
Carrie Underwood has returned to the judges’ table on “American Idol” for Season 24, alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.
And she knows some fans think she’s a tough judge.
“Sometimes I get in trouble from people like, ‘How dare she say that it wasn’t perfect?’ I just want everybody to learn . . . and hearing you are amazing all the time is not going to get you anywhere.”
Carrie says her critiques come from encouragement, not negativity.
