Keith Urban On Beating Kenny Chesney For Entertainer Of The Year
Keith Urban and Blake Shelton were talking to each other in a promo for their new show, “The Road,” when Blake brought up a wild story.
Back in 2004, Keith was opening for Kenny Chesney on tour, and in 2005, Kenny and Keith were both nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the CMAs.
But Keith took down the biggest prize, and the “headliner” went home empty-handed.
You could see the joy in Blake’s face re-telling the story, but Keith said, quote, “It was an awkward moment.”
Keith tried to break the tension by saying, “he opened for everybody”.
