How Brett Young Worked His Way To Being A Country Music Star
Brett Young has been working since before he graduated high school.
He remembers his first job, and he also remembers how once he decided music was the career he wanted, he was willing to work any job to make that happen.
“My first job job was the summer before my senior year I started working construction. And then I went away to college and then I came back that next summer, and then I got the opportunity to go work for this restaurant, but as like a busboy, and then I worked my way up to waiter. So, anything from construction to waiting tables to busing tables to bartending, even all the way up until I moved to Nashville, I was still bartending in Santa Monica. I was willing to do any of that as long as it provided me the opportunity to still pursue music.”
