Luke Bryan Meets 7-year-old Who’s Fighting Cancer
Luke Bryan had a show in Denver on Saturday, July 29 and brought a very brave little girl backstage, seven-year-old Mary Stegmueller.
She’s been fighting terminal brain cancer since she was four and just started her 43rd round of radiation this week.
She’s been a huge fan of Luke’s for years, but almost didn’t get to see him in concert this time, because she can’t stand for too long.
Her parents didn’t think they could take her until an anonymous donor bought out an entire suite for them.
Luke heard she’d be there and invited her backstage before the show to hang out. Her whole family got to go too.
Mary had actually met him once before when he gave her a quick hug at a concert two years ago.
Her mom says she felt like they were “BFFs” after that and wanted to hang out more, so, Luke made it happen.
Back in December, he also sent her a video message on Christmas Day. She told her mom it was the best gift she got last year.
