Guest Stars Revealed For Dolly Parton’s Rock Album
Dolly Parton finally revealed the guest stars featured on her new rock album that’s coming this fall, and there are even more than we thought.
It’ll have THIRTY songs on it, nine originals and 21 covers featuring more than FORTY different guest stars.
They include Elton John, Melissa Etheridge, Lizzo, Sting, Steve Perry, John Fogerty, Kid Rock, Steven Tyler, Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, Chris Stapleton, Miley Cyrus, Brandi Carlile, Pink, Debbie Harry, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, Pat Benatar, Michael McDonald, Nikki Sixx, and Richie Sambora.
Also, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr helped on a cover of “Let It Be”. So, it’s got a mini Beatles reunion. Peter Frampton and Mick Fleetwood are also on that one.
Frampton is the only person featured on more than one song, and he talked about how that happened in a new interview. He says he really wanted to be involved, so he had his manager reach out.
First, Dolly’s producer asked him to do a guitar solo on “Let It Be”. Then Dolly also wanted to cover his song, “Baby, I Love Your Way”, so he helped out on that too.
He says it’s “phenomenal,” and Dolly took it to “a whole other level.”
The album is called “Rockstar”, and we also have an official release date now.
It’ll be out on November 17th, but the first single lands on Thursday, May 11th.
It’s an original called “World on Fire” that she’s also performing at the “ACMs” tomorrow night. She and Garth Brooks are co-hosting the show.
