Morgan Wallen Put On Vocal Rest
Morgan Wallen lost his voice and cancelled Sunday’s show in Oxford, Mississippi at the last minute.
Fans had seen Hardy, Nate Smith, and Ernest perform, and THEN got an announcement and message on the screens.
Around the same time, Morgan apologized on his Instagram stories.
“After last night’s show I started losing my voice, so I spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor and working through my vocal exercises trying to get better. I really thought I’d be able to take the stage, and it kills me to deliver this so close to stage time, but my voice is shot and I’m unable to sing. All tickets will be refunded. I’m so sorry, I promise you guys I tried everything.”
Upset fans lit up the Internet. One said, “He should’ve said earlier that he wasn’t going to sing” while another added, “What about the dog sitter, hotel, paid time off, and gas money we took for this.”
On Monday, April 24th, Morgan turned to Instagram stories again to update fans with the news that this week’s scheduled shows have all been rescheduled after doctors ordered him to be on voice rest. He wrote in part,
“I appreciate and understand everything you do to get to my shows, so it would be unfair of me to put on a show that I know will not be 100% . . .”
His next scheduled show on the One Night At A Time Tour is May 4th in Jacksonville, FL.
