“I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack is trending 23 years after it came out, all thanks to the Netflix dating show “Love Is Blind”.

We won’t spoil the finale in case you haven’t watched yet, but it was featured several times this season.

Two cast members named Zack and Bliss had an early connection because they both loved the song and knew all the lyrics.

After the finale last Friday, it saw a 24% bump in streaming, then there was another big surge after the reunion episode on Sunday.

Many young people had never heard it before, so, it’s just like what happened with the Kate Bush song “Running Up That Hill” after it was on “Stranger Things” last year.

There’s one funny moment on “Love Is Blind” we HAVE to mention. Early in the season, Zach talked about “I Hope You Dance” . . . but called Lee Ann Womack “Lee Ann WOMBAT” by mistake.

She had a good sense of humour about it, and even  posted the clip on TikTok the other day. She said, “Just called me Lee Ann Wombat from now on.”
