Justin Moore Remembers Dating Before He Made It In Country Music
Justin Moore’s latest single, “You, Me & Whiskey,” which he sings with Priscilla Block, is about getting back to the early days of romance with your significant other before life got in the way.
When Justin first met his wife, Kate, she was still in college in Louisiana and he was working a full-time day job while trying to get his music career off the ground in Nashville, so they dated long distance for a couple of years, and there was nothing really extravagant about their early dates.
“Neither one of us had a pot to pee in. So, I mean, goin’ out to a nice dinner then was Chili’s. Not that there’s anything wrong with Chili’s, but you know, that was a big deal back then. It wasn’t as though we were going out to five-star restaurants, and havin’ $60 steaks and a $20 baked potato à la cart, and that kind of stuff, you know.”
