How Alexandra Kay Used Social Media To Sing With Big Stars
Showcasing her talent on TikTok has really helped Alexandra Kay’s career.
Last fall she was just another artist until Tim McGraw saw the video of her making ice coffee while singing “Don’t Take the Girl”.
Not only did he share the clip, but he also invited her to be one of the openers on his 2022 tour.
When something works, try it again. Last month she posted a video of herself doing a medley of Creed songs. That got singer Scott Stapp’s attention, and he did his own split screen “duet” reaction post.
Scott lives near Nashville, so they worked it out for him to join her onstage last Friday at the Opry Plaza Party.
They did a medley of Creed hits and he said, quote,
“I have tremendous respect and admiration for her. I wanted to sing with her before she gets too busy selling out arenas.”
