Russell Dickerson Wanted Lady A To Record ‘Home Sweet’
Russell Dickerson co-wrote his latest hit, “Home Sweet,” with Lady A member Charles Kelley while he was on tour with the trio in 2018.
At the time, Russell said he really wanted Lady A to record it.
“In my mind, I was hoping at first that Lady A would cut it, for sure, you know cause we wrote it on tour with them, they were headlining, they’re Lady A, so I’m like, ‘That would be amazing to get like a huge Lady A cut,’ but they ended up passing on it, whatever. Either way I was stoked because I knew this song was a huge song anyway so I was like, ‘Yes, I get to do my own song,’ so, yeah, I’m glad that I got to record it.”
“Home Sweet” is the second single off Russell’s 2020 album, Southern Symphony.
