Miranda Lambert Virtually Surprised This Year’s ACM New Artist Winners
We already know that Parker McCollum won Best New Male Artist and Lainey Wilson won Best New Female Artist at tonight’s ACMs.
Miranda Lambert surprised them with the news on a Zoom call.
Parker was at his mom’s when he got the call.
“I was at my mom’s house in Fort Worth, Texas. [I] was getting ready for a random interview . . . opened my computer and the video popped up and Miranda was on there. I couldn’t believe it.”
Lainey thought she was doing a TV interview.
“It was Thursday and I thought I was doing an interview with a TV station in Vegas . . . and I click the Zoom link and I see Miranda pop up and I was like, ‘I think I might’ve clicked on the wrong link.'”
