Garth And Trisha Gift Car To Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood were guests at former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn’s 75th-anniversary party in Georgia over the weekend, but they sent their gift a couple of days ahead of the big event.
People.com reports that Garth and Trisha gifted the Carters with a red convertible built-in 1946, the year they were married.
According to a friend of the couple’s, the car arrived last week and Secret Service stored it in an area of the compound so the Carters wouldn’t see it until their big celebration on Saturday, July 10th.
Garth and Trisha were just two of the 300 guests in attendance at the party, which was held at Plains High School in Plains, GA.
Other attendees included Bill and Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Ted Turner.
