Lady A Excited To Play Latest Hit Live
Lady A quickly jumped on the opportunity to record and release their latest hit single, “Champagne Night,” because they could easily imagine its impact during their live shows.
While their tour for this year has been cancelled due to the pandemic, Lady A’s Dave Haywood said he can hardly wait to get back on stage just to perform this song.
“The reason we chose this song was it was so much fun when we first heard it. When Madeline Merlo performed the original on Songland, I could immediately see this at a show in front of 15,000 people singin’ at a big amphitheatre. Those are the songs that are hard to write and she captured it great, and with all the tweaks from Shane (McAnally) and the rest of the team, it is such a fun song. I cannot wait to be back up on stage performing ‘Champagne Night’.”
Lady A served as the guest artist on the season two premiere of NBC’s Songland back in April.
They co-wrote the song along with show mentor Shane McAnally and Canadian singer-songwriter Madeline Merlo.
