Garth Brooks just might be joining the likes of Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Alan Jackson, John Rich and Luke Bryan in owning a bar in downtown Nashville.

During his virtual press conference on Wednesday, July 29th, Garth told reporters and fans that he will likely add his name to the mix saying,

“It’s coming in the future, but it’s gonna be done the way we do it. So it’ll be its own place very much like Blake’s (Ole Red) is his own place. We’re gonna do it our own way.”

Garth added that he has no immediate plans but the establishment will likely open “in the next two years, three years.”

He also said Lower Broadway will definitely be the location for his venue.

“When you talk about Broadway, that is ‘Friends in Low Places’ right there. It’s the perfect place.”

The press conference was held to announce Garth’s withdrawal from future CMA Entertainer of the Year nominations or wins at his own request.

He told reporters it was time to give someone else a chance.
