Tim McGraw Gets Emotional Talking About His Mom
Tim McGraw gets very emotional while talking about his new single, “I Called Mama.”
He said it takes him back to his childhood when his mom was working three jobs to make ends meet and life wasn’t easy for the single mother of three.
“I can remember walking through the kitchen one night getting up late and I don’t know how old I was — 10, 11, 12 years old, something like that — and she had her head down on the table at like two in the morning with bills everywhere and was crying, and she didn’t see me, but I’ve told her that story before and she didn’t remember it cause she didn’t see me but for her that was probably a hundred different nights I didn’t know about, but that’s something that really resonates with me and sticks out to me, and I think about that when I hear this song.”
“I Called Mama” is the debut release from Tim’s upcoming studio album.
