Mitchell Tenpenny will be among the millions tuning in to this weekend’s Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, and he’s rooting for the Chiefs to win.

“My prediction for the Super Bowl this year has gotta be the Chiefs. I think Mahomes is such a special talent. And, you know, Garoppolo’s incredible too. It’s gonna be really hard to stop Pat (Mahomes). I think he wants, that team wants it bad and I’m going for the Chiefs.”

The Super Bowl will be played on Sunday, February 2nd in Miami.

Mitchell released new music digitally on Friday, January 24th.

The song is called “Can’t Go To Church.”

“I grew up in Nashville and went to a Christian school, David Lipscomb High School. All my friends and I attended both school and church together. The girlfriend I had at the time broke up with me and the first thing you do at that age is try to avoid them. And I knew if I went to church, I would see her. So, I wrote this song not because I didn’t believe in God and didn’t want to fellowship, I just didn’t want to see her. I said a prayer to God that ‘I will praise you, I just can’t walk in there anymore.’”

Mitchell recently kicked off his headlining Anything She Says Tour with special guests Seaforth and Adam Doleac.
