Brad Paisley Says No One Is Safe At CMA Awards
Brad Paisley is again preparing to host the CMA Awards on November 4th in Nashville. Brad and co-host Carrie Underwood spend a lot of time working on their hosting gigs in the months leading up to the show, and he told Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans that the recent breakups in Country music are making for some good material.
“It’s like from Ashley Madison to you name it. It’s a good year to be a host. At first, Blake and Miranda got a divorce in our format, which is a big deal cause they’re two of the biggest artists. That was such a bummer, and then Reba gets a divorce like right away, right after it. Now it’s an outbreak, which is good for country music. It’s better songwriting, you know? There’s nothing worse than ‘oh, I love you and everything’s great.’ It’s better like, ‘You cheating, lying, no-good . . . ‘ Yeah, those are the songs that you want to hear.”
The CMA Awards will air live on ABC.
