Powell, Ray (Age 77, Seaforth)

Ray POWELL, of Seaforth, suddenly at his home on Wednesday, in his 78th year.  Survived by his sister-in-law Anne Powell, and nieces Sarah Powell and John Chafe, Jane MacKintosh and Ewan and, Kate Powell. Also survived by his great-nephews Timothy and Thomas Chafe, Angus and Malcom MacKintosh, as well as his cousins and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth, on Tuesday, from 10 AM until the time of Ray’s funeral service at 11 AM.

Dolores McKenzie, of Kincardine, on Thursday, in her 88th year. Dear mother of Alex and Brenda of Walkerton, Freda and Lynn Courtney of Ripley, Sharlene and Rick Cain of Ottawa, Randy of Kincardine, Debbie and Joe Hartwick of Fort St. John, B.C., Carol Ann and Ron Middelkamp of Kincardine, Grant and Lynda of Creemore and, Denise and John Sweeney of Kincardine. Grandmother of 15 grand, 17 great-grand and 1 great-great-grandchild to be. Sister of Valda, Edith, and George. Predeceased by husband Ross, and daughters, Catherine and Hilda.

Bernie KING of Hanover and formerly of Harriston, on Friday in his 82nd year. Husband of Eileen King. Father of Michelle and Robert Sloat of Stratford, and Gary and Patricia King of Hanover. Grandfather of Craig and Tina Sloat, Alicia Wells and Jeff Savile, Christopher and Kristin Wells, Ashley McLeod and Joseph Bundy,  Alicia English, Amber King, and great-grandfather of Issabelle, Ethan, Lucas, and Gabriel.
Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Sunday from 2 till 4 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, Harriston, on Monday at 11 AM. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.

Johnson, Lucas – update

Lucas JOHNSON of Goderich, formerly of Walkerton, tragically at Lake Huron on August 2nd at age 16. Beloved son of Jackie Johnson and brother of Fox Johnson, both of Goderich. Missed by his aunts and uncles Janet Demerling, Betty Zagorodny, Linda Rasmussen, Dorrie and Rod Kennedy and Audrey and Ron Kaufman, his many cousins, treasured friends and the Ross family. Predeceased by his grandparents John and Alice Johnson and uncles Jim Johnson and Wayne Johnson.
A celebration of Lucas’ life will take place at the Goderich Memorial Arena Hall on Saturday from 1 until 4 PM with remembrances at 2.

Daryl BURKE of Listowel, formerly of Route 2, Atwood at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday in her 77th year. Wife of the late Bill Burke. Fondly remembered by Bill’s nieces and nephews Doug and Vickie Hanna, Ron and Brenda Hanna, Pauline Hanna, Diane and Jack Gabel and their families.
In keeping with Daryl’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Brother of Karen and Bruce Widmeyer, Donna Melville and brother-in-law of Larry and Ruth Tomlin, Bruce and Judy Tomlin, and Ruth Anne and Howard Savage. Predeceased by his grandson Nathan.

Missed by 8 grand-, 4 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Grandmother of Michael, Heidi, Taryn, Sheena, Cory, Nancy, Ryan and great-grandmother of Nicole, Emily, Zachary, Keira, Brady, Kameron, Katerina, Ayriana, Larissa, Brody, Peyton, Ryleigh, Cadence, Kyle, Tyson, Evan, Katie and Emily. Sister of Inga. Predeceased by her husband Hans and siblings in Denmark.
