John MURRAY of Clifford on Friday, in his 80th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Amelia for 60 years. Father of Deborah and Ron Simmons, Dianne and Brad Schieck, Nancy and Gary Gibson, Helen Murray and Ken Batte and, Alphonse and Crystal Murray. Grandfather of 15 grand and 12 great-grandchildren. Remembered by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his son David and grandson Wade Simmons.

Elwin “Pete” PETRIE on Monday in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Edna Petrie. Survived by his sons Phil and Liz Petrie, Brian and Valerie Petrie and daughter Trish Doherty and Jeff Fisher, all of Goderich, and their families Michael, Tara, Avery, Ashton, Brady and Morgan, Monica and Amber, Amy, Katie, Shawn, and Harper. Pete was also loved by his extended family, Mary Donlevy, Dave and Patrice Hilderley, Brian Donlevy, Barry Donlevy, Lyle Donlevy, John Donlevy, Kay and Bill Schellenbach and their families. Pete was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Edna, parents Viola and Roy Petrie, sisters Eleanor and brother-in-law Gord Cockfield, Verna and brother-in-law Charlie Crossett, Mother-in-law Phyllis Lewis and husband Robert, brother and sister-in-law Albert and Carmen Lewis, sister-in-law Della Lewis and brother-in-law Elwin Lewis.

Rita THOMAS (nee Kennedy) of St. Jacobs, on Monday, at the age of 94. Survived by her three daughters. One is Nancy Lehmann of Waterloo. She will be fondly missed by her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Robert, son Raymond, parents, brothers and sisters.

Durk BOTMA of Hanover, formerly of Chesley, on Monday, in his 93rd year. Loving father of Anna Mary and Ross Weber of Port Rowan, Roy and Debbie of East Linton and George and Elizabeth of Bognor. Durk will live on in the hearts and minds of his eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and his siblings Ruurd and Anneke in the Netherlands.
