Peter Josef TAKKEN, of Cargill, passed away on Saturday. He was 90. Loving father of Ken of London, Pat and Lisa of Eganville, Cindy and Tony Hnatiuk of Westlock, AB, John and Judy of Brule, AB, Ray and Maryanne of Glammis, Annette and Ron Schmidt of Formosa, and Linda of Owen Sound. Cherished Opa of fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Peter was predeceased by his wife Johanna, his parents Cornelis and Trijntje, two brothers, and six sisters.
Peter’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2 until 4 PM and from 7 to 9 PM on Thursday at Cameron Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be held at 3:45 PM followed by Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, at 11 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, Cargill. Rev. Luc Payette officiating. Spring interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Building Fund or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton.
