People Are Not Happy With The First Pics Of Will Smith As The Genie In “Aladdin”

Nothing gets past Disney fans but is this going a little too far?

The first pictures of Disney’s live-action “Aladdin” remake hit the web yesterday, and it seems like NOBODY is happy.  The main beef is that WILL SMITH’s Genie isn’t blue.  He’s the color of :Will Smith.

But Will went on Instagram to set the record straight.  He said, quote, “Yes, I’m gonna be BLUE! 🙂  This is how the Genie is in Human / Disguise Form.  My character will be CGI most of the movie.”

Meanwhile, Will tells “Entertainment Weekly” that it was intimidating to take on the character, since there wasn’t a lot of room to improve on what Robin Willimas did in the original.
