Celebrities Are Donating to the Gun Control March in Washington

The brave students from the Parkland, Florida high school that was tragically shot up last week are organizing a March in Washington, D.C. It’s called the March for Our Lives, and it takes place on Saturday, March 24th.  And it’s getting A huge celebrity following along with tons of support.  George and Amal Clooney started the ball rolling by donating $500,000 and George said, quote, “Our family will be there on March 24th to stand side by side with this incredible generation of young people from all over the country.”

Since then, matching $500,000 donations have come in from Oprah, Steven Spielberg and and DreamWorks co-founder Jeffery Ketzenburg.

Oprah even compared the kids to the Freedom Riders of the 1960s.
